Unfortunately, no consensus was reached at the most recent ECOFIN meeting with regards to the ViDA Proposal.

Estonia opposed the deemed supplier rules, aiming to protect SMEs. They did not have objections against DRR or the Single VAT registration. Estonia's proposal is to make the deemed supplier rules opt-in, to which Minister Van Peteghem disgreed. The Belgian presidency does not want to split up the different parts of the proposal and is continuing in their aim to get ViDA signed in by the end of their presidency in June 2024.
